Primary wordmark: 'in her seasons' set lowercase in a high-contrast editorial serif (Canela / Reckless licensed; Fraunces opsz-high + soft-wonk as the zero-cost launch face), generously letter-spaced, Deep Clay on Warm Linen. Lowercase pulls the register from broadcast to whisper (Goop's all-caps is the line not to cross). THE signature move: give 'her' a subtle italic (or slight weight) shift so the woman is the literal emphasized center of her own name — this is the concept-in-one-gesture and replaces any connecting ligature (which reads script/cheesy). The mark: a single continuous-hairline circle broken by three near-invisible seams into four arcs (cycle-as-loop, never a clock) — master mark in Deep Clay or Aged Gold foil; expanded lockups let each arc carry a seasonal accent. Design for the smallest surface first (Mejuri rule): it must survive at 16px favicon, on the journal spine, and as an Aged-Gold foil deboss. Commission it bespoke (Wells Collins caliber) — hand-refine the serif and the italic-her rather than shipping raw font output. Light is the whole brand. Natural-light-only, single warm window source, golden-hour bias, slightly underexposed in the warm range, real film grain — ban every ring light, beauty dish and flat even fill (that flat glow IS femtech and AI-slop). Female-gaze intimacy that is tender, not sexy, not clinical: lead with hands, wrists, the back of a neck, a woman wrapped in linen looking OUT a window, not at the camera. Steal the gaze of Weir/Collins/Guerrero, not the nudity — every frame passes one test: does this feel like being seen, or being sold to? Cast for the inclusion guardrail on purpose — a perimenopausal woman plus a range of ages, skin tones and bodies, all in the same tender register; the over-50 frame is non-negotiable. Grade everything warm and gently desaturated (Kinfolk recipe: +warm, +orange luminance, –saturation, +grain, lifted warm blacks), shoot Portra-warm film if budget allows. Build on Lenis smooth-scroll + GSAP ScrollTrigger; protect LCP so the calm never stutters. Three signature interactions: (1) The Season Wheel — the four-arc mark breathes (slow 6–8s pulse) and on 'which season are you in?' the chosen arc warms into its accent while the background tint follows; a loop chosen by feeling, never a clock — the agency moment and the brand's one piece of magic. (2) Golden-hour reveal scroll — full-bleed real-women + founder photography fades up from Warm Linen with a faint warm-grain bloom, like a window brightening, paired with the serif line settling (the belonging beat). (3) Chapter tint-drift — scrolling Winter→Spring→Summer→Autumn, the background and a single hairline crossfade through the four desaturated accents over ~1.5s; seasons felt as a shift in light, never labeled cards. Reserve type-in-motion for ONE line only — a single mask-wipe-up reveal on 'Nothing is wrong with you.' Hover = quiet acknowledgment (200ms opacity/underline-grow, images lift 2–4px); Terracotta Rose is the only loud state, and even it animates calmly. Honor prefers-reduced-motion as non-negotiable.

Materiality

The journal is an object she lives alongside, not a product she uses — the test is whether her body softens before her mind decides. The four-season mechanic made tactile: a vellum/glassine interleaf before each chapter with the botanical motif ghosted in the seasonal accent (turning into a season feels like crossing a soft veil) + ribbon-tabbed dividers, one woven Terracotta Rose page-marker, matte sprayed page-edges.   • Never all-caps masthead the wordmark (that's Goop's broadcast register — IHS is a whisper); never a name-in-a-badge, leaf-as-a-letter, or script 'feminine' font.
  • Never assign a season to 'day 14' — the wheel is chosen by feeling, a loop she feels into, never a clock or calendar (honors irregular/IUD/perimenopausal bodies).

Confident neutrality with humanist warmth — 'Akzidenz framed through Helvetica.' Reads expensive and gets out of the way so the serif is the only voice in the room. Body line-height 1.6; section labels small-caps + wide tracking. (Hanken is the genuine free Söhne — warm enough to escape Inter.)
